No skin repeats.
No routine should.

A handheld skin reader for home. Its own light and lens capture what phone photos can't — thirty seconds every morning — and tell you what your skin is asking for today.

The problem

Three boxes for eight billion faces.

Dry, oily, combination — that's the whole vocabulary the industry gives your skin. So you copy a friend's routine, or a creator's, and test someone else's answer on your face. The alternative is asking your skin — and until now, that meant an appointment, every time.

80%

of skincare users try several products before finding one that works for them.

DryOilyCombination

Three labels for every face on earth — and none of them keeps what makes yours different.

A questionnaire is the least reliable sensor in the room.

Why Balans Skin

Everyone else infers.
We measure.

Quiz apps ask you to describe your skin. Selfie AI infers from a photo taken in unknown light. Balans Skin reads the skin itself: the sensor produces the data, and the software only interprets it.

Day 1 · at home, under a minute

Start with a baseline — not just a quiz.

Place the reader flat, press once. A few capture positions, each in direct, cross-polarized and UV light — its own light and guided contact, so every photo matches the last.

Your first session is your reference point. From then on, everything compares to you — never to a type, never to a norm. And each photo saves to your camera roll.

Day 45 · thirty-seven mornings later

See what actually changed.

Start a product, pause another — your readings show what your skin did next. Pick any two dates and see them side by side.

No score. No grade. Missed days stay visibly missed — a perfect curve would be a lie.

What changed since my last check?
Your spot area is lower than a month ago. Redness is still above where you started, with no clear change since day 30.
Can I bring the glycolic toner back?
Not yet — redness hasn't settled since you paused it. Scan tomorrow morning and we'll look again.

Readings show what changed — not which product caused it.

What it reads

Four ways to read the same skin.

Each reading is explained in plain words — and each one says where it comes from: measured, estimated or what you told us.

Surface — texture
Surface · direct light

Texture

Roughness, peeling and pore relief, read at macro detail.

Pigment — tone and spots
Pigment · cross-polarized

Tone & spots

Uneven tone and spot area, read beneath surface glare.

Vascular and sebum — redness and congestion
Vascular & sebum · UV

Redness & congestion

Visible redness and pore build-up, read the same way every day.

Derived — change over time
Over time

Change

What moved since your baseline — by zone, by date, against your own history.

No score. No grade. Your first scan is a baseline — from then on, everything compares to you.

Balans Skin provides cosmetic skin readings. It does not diagnose or treat any medical condition — and if a reading sees something beyond cosmetic scope, we'll say one thing: see a dermatologist.

Why a reader, not a selfie

Skin changes over time. Photos change with the light.

A phone photo moves with the camera, the angle and the room. A reader that touches the skin, brings its own light and frames the same zone every time is how a change in your skin stops being a change in the picture.

For dermatologists & clinics

Built with dermatologists, not around them.

Balans Skin is a cosmetic tool with a clear boundary — and the boundary is where we work together.

Referral, not replacement

When a reading sees something beyond cosmetic scope, Balans Skin says one thing: see a dermatologist. We send people to you — never the other way.

FAQ

Questions we hear most.

How is this different from a selfie app?

A phone photo changes with the camera, the light and the angle. The reader touches the skin, brings its own light and frames the same zone every time — so a change over time is a change in your skin, not in the picture.

How often do I scan?

Every morning, one zone, about thirty seconds — a reminder only if you haven't. A full reading once a week, on the day you choose.

Does it tell me whether a product works?

It shows what changed in your skin after you started or paused something — not which product caused it. That honesty is the point: it keeps you from changing your routine on a guess.

Does it work on every skin tone?

Optical readings can vary with skin tone, so we validate on the tones of the markets we serve, starting with Mexico — it is the reason this company exists.

Is Balans Skin a medical device?

No. It provides cosmetic skin readings and routine guidance, and does not diagnose or treat conditions. If a reading sees something beyond cosmetic scope, we'll tell you to see a dermatologist — and mean it.

Do I answer a questionnaire?

A short one, once — safety, sensitivities and what's already on your shelf. It personalizes for safety; it never substitutes for the measurement.

What data do you collect, and who owns it?

Your photos and readings are yours — every capture also saves to your phone. We never sell personal data. With explicit opt-in, de-identified readings contribute to aggregate research on how ingredients perform across skin types — always anonymous, always revocable.

When can I get one?
